Pub Crawl

As the Second day of McMUN committee sessions drew to a close, the time came for the infamous social event that would bring the McMUN 2015 experience to another level, otherwise known as Montreal’s Pub Crawl. Leaders had gathered starting at 7:30, making up posters and getting hyped up to welcome the young delegates and staff members they were to bring around a number of the city’s bars, before heading to the club event at Jet Club. Groups were formed of 20 to 30 students from different schools, in charge of performing as many tasks as possible for the Scavenger Hunt, a win that would guarantee personal eternal glory, and honor of having been the craziest team of the 2015 pub-crawl. Let us say that the competitive edge of the delegates already present during the day’s committee sessions was heightened by the exhilaration of discovering Montreal’s nightlife and the occasion to blow off some steam.

Speaking to a couple of students looking relatively less fresh the next morning, extremely positive feedback was given regarding the pub crawl and its leaders. Students confirmed how beneficial the social event had been in terms of networking, as well as getting to know their fellow delegates in a less formal manner. Lasting friendships and memories were definitely made that night.

After a few stops at various bars, the pub-crawlers gathered at Jet Club, where the excitement reached its climax. By midnight Jet Club was packed, and it got difficult to weave one’s way across the cluster of partygoers.

Overall, a very successful night, which proved the impressive stamina of the McMUN staff team and participants, as both dedicated delegates and party animals.
