MIR Meets Ep. 1: Juju Deshormes

 

We’re pleased to present the first episode of MIR Meets, featuring Juju Deshormes outside the Mile End’s famous Fairmount Bagels! By giving writers the opportunity to discuss their work and engaging with our home city of Montréal, MIR Meets puts a human face on The McGill International Review.

In December 2016, Juju wrote an article, “The Forgotten Population on the Brink of Genocide,” detailing the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslim population in Myanmar’s Rakhine State. Nearly a year later, few concrete actions have been taken to address this crisis, even amidst international outcry.
